Willow Blythe-Carroll (Mvskoke), an Indigenous award-winning storyteller, advocate, and survivor, will share her personal journey of resilience and hope as she explores the impact of violence against Indigenous women and the path to healing. She will explore historical trauma and its generational impacts, while highlighting the strength of Indigenous women as powerful matriarchs of their communities. She will share insights into Indigenous culture and values, highlighting their role in healing, and offer guidance on how to support and uplift Indigenous women and their communities on the path to renewal, reclamation, and harmony.
Learning Objectives:
Explore the historical influences of violence and oppression against Indigenous communities, along with their lasting impact.
Learn about Indigenous culture, values, and traditions and their crucial role in healing and rebuilding from generational trauma.
Discover ways to support Indigenous women survivors and uplift their communities on their healing journey.
